Christmas: why are we forcing a christian holiday in everyones face?
Its offensive to at least 5% of the population.
Easter: See Above
Valentines Day: Why the painful reminder to people who are alone?
Fourth of July:Whats to celebrate? This nations evil racist past?
Thanksgiving:See Above
Halloween (Ok we can keep this one)

Jehovas witnesses have been unpatriotic and non-celebratory for 100 years or more.

Don't like it, shut up and mind your own business.

I think Holidays are ok. I do not like saying Merry Christmas because not everyone is Christian-including me-but whatever.

Since when do Christians ever listen to anyone else?

Holidays are for the rich people.

Rich people can afford to exchange gifts, take trips, take part in various holiday events. Rich people get paid for holidays, even if they don't work.

Poor people cannot affort those things, but go deeper in debt trying to. Poor people get paid only for the days they work, and lose a day's pay when their employment shuts down for the holiday.

Three million Americans have lost their job since last Christmas. Every day, for the past year, ten thousand Americans were fired. Every day. (That doesn't count the ones who found another job---only the ones still jobless.) Happy Holidays, folks.

(I will give the conservative response, and save you the trouble or posting it--- )

IT'S THEIR OWN FAULT. It's time they started taking personal responsibility for their lives, and get jobs with paid holidays and higher salaries, so they could enjoy my holidays too.

LOL this is funny. Well I am not a religious person but some in my family still go to church. So I am expected to celebrate. The only thing that I hate about the holidays is that it has become so tainted with commercialism and money. Why do we have to spend so much money for christmas gifts, at least in my family it is espected to get good gifts. I hate that, I need that money. LOL. If it was just a get together like Thanksgiving that will be much better. But then again I rather travel in the holidays if I can.

Agreed, too much commercialism, so the "spirit" of the occasion gets lost. Who has time, when shoving each other at the malls to get to the glittery trinket? Spend it in church and/or with family/friends. Doesn't have to cost much. I no longer buy gifts, and over the past couple of years stopped sending cards. Is simpler to email or send ecards, less frazzle on the nerves and just as much appreciated. I stay home and far away from civilization on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and ESPECIALLY the day after Christmas. Do not care to be part of the frenzy and craziness.
