Your employer tells you to see a psychiatrist that the employer knows or to see the corporate counselor. You do and get a diagnosis. Could that inhibit your case against discrimination?
I've heard that getting a whistle-blower or muck raker to get diagnosed with some mental illness like a personality disorder or schizophrenia will discredit them?
