Okay, so I received some e-mails from a friend some time ago and (because I'm a skeptic) I did a little research on this stuff and it seems legit so far.
I'm starting to get a migraine because I really don't want to believe this stuff because it's so ominous (the part about The US Revolution and WW2).I currently have "The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America" on PDF and I'm interested in downloading "Confessions of an Economic Hitman." After reading excerpts from those books (and looking at video) I find all of this is pretty confusing but I will continue to dig deeper into this (am I crazy?). What do y'all think about those links I recieved?
The global market can only sustain itself as long as energy is cheap.
A different view of the future is a hyper local economy empowered by technology and self-fabrication, but it does depend on energy being cost prohibitive. I doubt the global genie can go back in the bottle without a system shock.
Invest in what you believe in. That's probably the best thing anyone can do. If you don't like "the system" check out. You still have to pay taxes, but you don't have to play otherwise. If you like the system as it is, play it and see what happens.

Here Scott read this. Maybe this will help your realize why you are tempted to think your links are legit.
I'm confused. The very first link you provided, goes to a page where a number of the bizarre claims in the email are debunked. Right there in the link -- proven false. As in completely untrue. With cites and links and evidence and such.
And yet you remain unsure and afraid? Why are you letting people scare you with this nonsense? Get some sleep, you'll feel better in the morning.
