Here's what's going to happen - Obama will push through everything he needs a super majority to do (i.e. health care). The Republicans will make major gains in 2010. The balance of power will be restored, as it always is in an election after 2 major referendum elections.
Our country is strongest when power is balanced and, if history is any indication, that's where we're going. We corrected the mess created by going too far to the right by swinging too far left. Research has shown that we are strongest with a Democratic president and a Republican congress.

I'll start from the wider perspective and work my way inwards to the heart of the matter.
One caution. If you post rants only I'll not waste time and I'll ignore them. Please to make it a legitimate debate and post facts that can be susbstantiated and I'll gladly take you off cleanly at the knees in fair and open debate.
For me and many others cognizant of what is swirling about us on the international scene, globalization is the big threat that has been for many years steering it's agenda of political influence upon the American system socially, politically and economically. It will become apparent to all that I have done my homework and this is but a small portion of the totalityof documented research I have accumulated.
Globalization to be succinct is the agenda furthered by David Rockefeller and his true believers of the Bildenberg Group, who feed off the broad international political and academia represented in what may be called the think-tank of international influence, the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations). It is ostensibly just what it would appear by it's name. In reality, it is an amalgam of diverse and well-experienced government former and present functionaries of great influence, notariety and respect. From this pool the NWO (New World Order) folks led by the Trilateral Commission draw upon the best and brightest in academia, politics, banking and commerce for those are the necessary base influence by which Rockefeller and his cohorts would implement their NWO, their belief in how the world SHOULD be run. I should be clear here that mere membership alone in the CFR does not mark one as an evil globalist. Central to that philosophy is the concept that the influence of successful nation states upon world matters MUST be interdicted and terminated, because it is in diametric opposition to their goal. That goal is that they will set policy for the entire world by getting control of banking and commerce, the two essentials that control everything in our societies. One of their main tools are what is known as the "central banks". To define that term it may be said to be a name given to any country's primary monetary authority, which has responsibility for 1) establishing monetary policy; 2) issuing money; 3) acting as a holding depository for member banks deposits and 4) doing everything to enable a country's monetary policy. In the US that entity is known as The Federal Reserve. One may readily see that HE who controls the "central bank" system has the economic world by the proverbial "short cahone hairs"! You don't need a doctorate in economics to get it.
How, one may fairly ask does all this, if correct, relate to Obama?
For this venture to succeed, which by the way got its serious start way back in 1913, the greatest example of a sovereign nation success based upon a freemarket capitalism MUST FAIL.That would be us...America. It stands in direct opposition to the need for any NWO. To avoid an extended essay here I'll move fast-forward to the immediate era to validate what has been ongoing to make this effort tie together.
First, the New World people knew that had to erode the system somehow to weaken it. Once weakened they would work upon a house divided upon itself. The real story starts off with George Herbert Walker Bush or Bush the Elder as he has become to be known. Bush, a WWII veteran and considered a hero by some, also recent past President of the US, bears a striking resume for respect by his countrymen, regardless of political persuasion. To recruit him to their cause would be ideal and so Bush bought into the entire idea and was the then first prominent American to introduce the "new world order' into our lexicon. It was in September of 1990 in a speech given to a joint session of congress on the Persian Gulf and the budget. Here is a key excerpt: "A new partnership of nations has begun, and we stand today at a unique and extraordinary moment. The crisis in the Persian Gulf, as grave as it is, also offers a rare opportunity to move toward an historic period of cooperation. Out of these troubled times, our fifth objective—a new world order—can emerge: A new era—freer from the threat of terror, stronger in the pursuit of justice and more secure in the quest for peace. An era in which the nations of the world, east and west, north and south, can prosper and live in harmony. A hundred generations have searched for this elusive path to peace, while a thousand wars raged across the span of human endeavor, and today that new world is struggling to be born. A world quite different from the one we've known. A world where the rule of law supplants the rule of the jungle. A world in which nations recognize the shared responsibility for freedom and justice. I recall hearing him use the phrase and it gave me an honest shiver up the spine as it was all too reminiscent of the late 30's rantings of the little paperhanger named Adolph who got us into WWII. How, I thought, could a decent fellow like Bush possibly buy into the arrogance of such a position. That a few elitists looking to exert control for their own limited goals could influence him. It was then that my personal research on Prescott Bush (his father) began to unravel how American banking interests had been in bed with the Nazis during the war all for fun and proift in direct contravention of OUR laws and olde Prescott was *ss deep into the mess. The groundwork for this was actually laid out much earlier by the first summit held in Punta del Este, Uruguay in 1967. The idea right from the start was to create a Common Market - integrating the economies, first of the Latin American countries and then the North American countries. This would serve to weaken the US as she sends her industrial base across to cheaper wage/production countries and leaves herself a service-based economy with her economic might VOLUNTARILY streipped away. With the adventure in Iraq they forged ahead totally ignoring the lessons of history for the Midde East…, in their economic salvation plan they displayed equal arrogance as they initiated a mission to effectively subvert the world’s sovereign nations and the right of them to be the masters of their own peoples’ fate. Do you doubt this? Do you know what Dick Cheney, Colin Powell, Paul Wolfowitz, Robert Blackwill and John Negroponte all have in common besides being lackeys in the George W. Bush administration? They are all One World proponents and active members in the CFR. Wolfowitz, at last check by myself, was still President of the World Bank, another One World entity, just like the WTO (World Trade Organization) and some others.

In retrospect we see the CRISI scare tactic again in play by the demonRATs. Madam co-President supported that position, making it unanimous Make no mistake about it, the effort to get NAFTA officially sanctified was a joint effort of major parties. There is plenty of shared blame here for certain, as a good case can be made that the actual method of arriving at these agreements one could fairly state subverted the people’s best interest being represented.
Many will recall that the Reluctant Candidate, Ross Perot, was the lone voice decrying this trend as members of both parties hopped on-board the globalization bandwagon. As he was generally viewed as comic relief and made sport of by the media and others not many paid serious attention to the truth he was spouting. For now the corruptive effect of those "lobbying" on behalf of greed was in full swing.
Around that time, and also much earlier on, you heard references to conspiracy theorists and the labelling of those spouting about a TriLateral Commission and Illuminati as assorted nutjobs. Well, sometimes what is viewed as one man’s paranoia becomes the first real glimpse at reality that is so alien it is given short shrift. And so it was with these two terms. Smoke then, confirmed suspicions of the conflagration now.
Bear in mind that this is the same Bill Richardson who had thrown his hat in the ring to contest for the demonRATic nomination to be their candidate for President in 2008. After withdrawing, this Clintonista loyalist was to jump ship, backstab The B*tch for pragmatic political reasoning and endorse The Obama Trauma, another advocate of the "open borders" philosophy as the demonRATic candidate for President. In his many media appearances I noted a startling and obvious change to his appearance, which the media never elected to comment upon. He opted for a tanning parlor coloration job and other facial hair accoutrements that make him decidely mirror his very real "latino" image. He obviously wanted to gain a popularity among "La Raza" and all the illegals he could influence.

Ah yes! And at what price do we realize this wondrous alleged gain? There IS always a price. And upon whose shoulders will rest the burden to pay? The average Joe, the little guy…takes the fall as always. With the loss of jobs. The loss of industrial productivity. The filling of lower level and menial labor jobs by Mexicans in an era when our educational system is failing and turning out high school graduates unequipped to function in a modern, service-oriented economy. When we had a strong industrial base these people were employed in such jobs. Now what?
The seeds of great discontent are being sown and this will not go unnoticed by US labor union leaders, though they’ll ultimately opt to support the leading demonRATic candidate for President.
The North American Union is the integration of the United States, Canada and Mexico initially. The integration of our economies, harmonization of laws, open-borders and national treatment de facto means the disintegration of these countries as sovereign nations. And…for what? To level the economic "playing field" at the expense of the haves to assist the have nots you say. Right you are, but wait a minute!! Why such gratuitous benevolence being pushed so hard by so many regardless of political stripe? Por supuesto! (or Of course!) As they’d say south of the once identifiable southern border. Cheap labor for corporate America. The hell with all the offshoot problems such begets and the financial load via taxation by adding these workers to our economy which is already bordering on socialism and a parasitic dependence upon government. Ultimately it will include all of the countries of Latin America too and spread southward, subverting and creating turmoil in many of these unstable socialist countries as North and South America morph into one big non-descript region.
The concept of it is exactly the same as the European Union. In Europe it began as the Common Market. Using the ploy of 'free trade' and the promise of increased prosperity, the people of Europe were persuaded to give up economic sovereignty to a higher level authority called the European Union. The difference there was that they had to unite for their common salvation as none were truly viable economies on their own. Not enough to sustain their individual societies and remain solvent. Have you not heard of the "Euro"? The World Bank knows what it is. Start getting used to a term called the "Amero".
Precisely the same thing is being done to the United States except that our spineless politicians and mainstream media are much too cowardly to broach the subject in a straightforward manner. Obviously the integration of the United States into a larger regional governance structure is TREASON, plain and simple. It subverts the U.S. Constitution and it places the American people under the authority of who? An unelected and undemocratic governing structure that is hidden from the view of who? Caution: Since the 1980's, it is a fact that language has been used to mask true intentions. The use of the word 'partnership' is a case in point. It sounds friendly and nice, even neighborly. You have to peel off the mask of language and use the real words the words that accurately describe what they are talking about. "Partnership" means integration. The integration of law and the functions of our individual governments, which by definition means the disintegration of national sovereignty.

When Obama entered the scene Bush had graciously set the stage for him. Obama had carte blanche to move forward to build upon our national debt; place horrific presure on our very survival by more spending; appoint czars to do his end-run around congress bidding; and generally prove himself to be a pathological liar as he broke every assurance he made in his campaign for clarity, reform, transparenncy and openness. There is no denying that. The evidence is strewn about everywhere in every action he has initiated.The only motivation can be an agenda to seize control. A blind man can see that.

But seriously, I'm not afraid of globalization. A limited global government could be a good thing; it's not an inherently evil idea. I'm not opposed to a limited federal government, so I don't see the difference.
What worries me is that money is the root of power. We need to eliminate finance as a factor in electability. I am for flushing out nearly the entire government we currently have, because of this.
But to the OP specifics about Obama's motives, why do you say that Obama wants to make America crumble when he has made a serious and somewhat effective effort to save America's economy from crumbling?

These centers are being accused of creating a strong bias toward warmer temperatures through a system that dramatically trimmed the number and cherry-picked the locations of weather observation stations they use to produce the data set on which temperature record reports are based. The White House has already backed several new environmental initiatives that have drawn sharp reactions from industry, particularly EPA findings last month that designated carbon dioxide as a dangerous pollutant.
But environmental groups are pointing to a flurry of industry meetings on the coal-ash issue as evidence that utilities and other companies are using a foothold within the White House to fight back against potentially far-reaching new rules.
The office of President Barack Obama's regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein, has held nearly 20 meetings with industry groups since October to discuss the potential impact of proposed EPA rules to treat coal ash and other coal byproducts as hazardous waste, according to White House records. Mr. Sunstein directs the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs within the White House Office of Management and Budget.

To misquote a great opening line: “It is the worst of times and the worst of times”. Today, we see almost no “best of times” as rampant socialism scurries to get control of the world. Obama’s choice of another czar only heightens this terrible predicament that is a death-knell for those of us who love freedom, but a promise of communistic pleasures for those who want power.
Obama is trying to water the garden with an ocean-wide tsunami. Only totalitarians do that, because they know the people don’t want their ‘changes’. Force must be used. That’s why Obama chose Cass Sunstein as one of his most key czars.
Cass Sunstein… is an ‘animal rights’ attorney who acts on behalf of animals. “Are you an animal with a ‘beef’ against humans? You have the right to sue…” That’s his ad in prevarication.net
Interesting how he placed his ad on a website dedicated to exposing prevarication in public life! The site says that when people lie “they are usually getting ready to reach into our hip pocket.” That’s what makes Mr Sunstein’s more recent comments quite illuminating! I know we're into only one element of Obama's journey initiated by my topic post, but this just came to my attention. And after the international email debacle over fudging data and reports to make an agenda appear valid when it isn't...Here comes this. It definitively bears on why Cap and Trade is an invalid agenda and should be amended by congress to Shut Up, Put On Your Pointy Hats and Sit Down:

NEW REVELATIONS HEADLINED ON TV CLIMATE SPECIAL
It has been revealed that a "sleight of hand" was used in the computer program that rated 2005 as "THE WARMEST YEAR ON RECORD.” Skeptical climate researchers have discovered extensive manipulation of the data within the U.S. Government's two primary climate centers: the National Climate Data Center (NCDC) in Asheville, North Carolina and the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) at Columbia University in New York City. These centers are being accused of creating a strong bias toward warmer temperatures through a system that dramatically trimmed the number and cherry-picked the locations of weather observation stations they use to produce the data set on which temperature record reports are based. The two investigators say the system has been distorted in other ways as well. They have documented their findings in great detail in a scientific report that has been posted online. These findings are presented as a part of my television special report ”Global Warming: The Other Side” telecast Thursday night, January 14th at 9 PM here on **** TV.

NOAA and NASA start with the unadjusted NOAA GHCN (Global Historical Climate Network). NASA eliminates some stations and adds some in the polar regions. For NASA, the computer program that manipulates the data is known as GIStemp, Both then add their own adjustments to calculate a global average temperature and a ranking for each month and year. The two inter-related U.S Government agencies have so intertwined their programs and data sets that both are being challenged by the investigating team that has produced this "smoking gun of U.S. Climate-gate.” “We suspect each center will try to hide behind, ‘It’s them; Not us’ and point fingers at each other," says the Computer Programmer from San Jose behind these new revelations. He and a Certified Consulting Meteorologist from New Hampshire made their revelations public on January 14th on a prime time television special report at 9:00PM PST; on ****-TV, an independent television station in San Diego Perhaps that is why Dr. Richard Anthes, President of the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research in testimony to congress in March 2009 noted “The present federal agency paradigm with respect to NASA and NOAA is obsolete and nearly dysfunctional in spite of best efforts by both agencies.”
The U.S. Government’s National Weather Service uses the NCDC data in its record temperature news releases put out with much media fanfare on a regular basis as they declare a given month or year has set a record for warmth, supporting the global warming agenda.

She predeceased me and passed last May at the age of 92 having been an independent soul and worked until age 91. She was a former FDR Democrat, the meaning of which may be lost on you, but that was back when they had a difference of opinion and STILL remained the LOYAL OPPOSITION. And thankfully, she grudgingly admitted to me about two months prior to her passing that she didn't vote for a Democrat this time. She truly believed that FDR was a deliverer and the greatest President. I believed it was Harry Truman and still do, which likely would surprise you.
I love independent folks who think for themselves and are not lemmings swept along by the tide. She was that and more.
