Their 'claws and influence in America' are a direct result of the illegal status of drugs, and that status maintains their influence as well. The only way to end it is legalizing, but you seem to think that's futile because their influence is "too deep", so you are willing to lie down and live with it.

don't get me wrong. legalizing it will help, but it won't crush it completely.

the OP's topic says it will hurt them. I dont' think it will. they will find ways to get the drugs in. they have too many politicians who do the drugs that are in their back pocket so the drugs will get in regardless.

But what we don't want as Americans, is a bunch of crazy Mexican drug gangs bumrushing our border towns raising hell because their dope has been deemed taxed by the government.

sidenote- People are lying down and taking Obama's Healthcare with no vaseline. which is worse?

Yeah, if you can't lick them, join them..
What a bunch of idiots and I might add over educated idiots with duh brains and spirits, that think they are so smart but can't see what is down the road for them and sad to say, us and our families. We are at their mercy because there are so many of them.
Legalize pot and turn your child into an idiot like you are, but make sure you carry around posters to get rid of a clown, would hate to see your children get fat, dumb is ok, just not fat.

Too bad for the Mexicans! Those that are here illegally DON'T belong here! (My conservative side coming out). From the documentary that I saw on MSNBC "Inside America's Pot Industry" American growers are using more sophisticated growing techniques, and as a result American grown weed is higher quality, and more potent than the Mexican stuff.

here's an idea:

since Obama is trying to drill for oil on our own soil, why not let us grow the happy grass on our own soil. THAT WILL CRUSH THEM COMPLETELY...but you know how that goes..

Ahh, here we go. Another one telling people what they can and can't consume! Come on really? Not everyone that smokes pot is a total pot head that sits around all day smokes pot, and eats a bag of chips. Nor do all pot smokers drive stoned, or go to work that way. It's called moderation! Besides, I've mentioned it before and I'll say it again... too much of ANYTHING is bad! But hey, let's continue to keep getting Americans hooked on all the prescription drugs out there. That's OK, right? Honestly, do you really think that we're winning the so-called "war on drugs" with the current status quo?

Correlation does not imply causation.

Just because some losers like to smoke pot, doesn't mean pot makes one a loser. A lot of very successful people are/were cannabis users.

Just ask Bill Gates.

"Gates's Silicon Valley associates were of the era, and to this day, the computer industry shies away from employee drug testing, knowing it would eliminate some of their best talent."
Very Important Potheads
