BREAKING: The Democrat-controlled Virginia Senate has passed a bill on a 23 to 17 vote making it illegal to require an individual to purchase health insurance, a direct challenge to the party's efforts in Washington to reform health care. More to come.

Virginia Politics Blog - Democrat-controlled Senate resists federal health insurance requirement

Is this a sign of things to come

Since the Obama and the dems are so hellbent on pushing something we do not want on us, we will take matters into our own hands.

I said the American people will take back this country one way or another from these socialist bums.

I agree, this is just a start until we can clean out the Obama & Dem band of misfits from our government.

I cannot wait to see Obamas reaction to this. Bet he is whining his arse off right now.

Keep an eye on him, he will figure a way to screw over the Virginia residents or get his sheep Holder to find a way to make it illegal.

Things are going to change, we are their boss and we will tell them how we want things done.

The whole health reform issue started off to fix the problem of those that WANT insurance but cannot get it and make it more affordable for those that WANT it but cannot afford it.

Fast forward and this has turned into a twisted nightmare.

Are you and your lefty friends going to pout and spin now?

Americans do not want Government healthcare and do not want to be told what they can and cannot buy.

If you do not want to buy Health Insurance that is every citizens human right.

Let's clarify the position. It's not that Americans don't want comprehensive coverage, what they don't want is a PUBLIC mandate to purchase PRIVATE insurance. Wiki: fascism.

I have no problem with a government mandate to buy into public insurance, but the idea that the government is going to yoke me to a private party is the stuff wars have been fought over. Down with the corporatocracy this country has become. I'll take the tax penalty any day of the week and twice on sunday.
