If not, why should it be shocking to your meritocracy principles to see that the most enlightened and intelligent people move ahean in civil government as well?
Not just ONE poll. ALL the polls tell us the people disagree with obama's policies. And then we have the recent elections in VA, NJ and MASS, where finally his policies were put to a vote by the people......and look what happened.

Emotional appeals? That's a liberal thing.

I guess they're not shielded enough, since they are running for the hills on HC, cap&tax and obama's budget. He is toxic.

How about this?

ALL developed countries are implementing Keynesian policies. ALL countries will go bankrupt (except emerging markets). Coincidence?

EclippTV :: Video :: Marc Faber : US government will go bankrupt

Hilarious! Which policy would that be? The Failed Stimulus that was supposed to create 3-4 million new jobs, that was supposed to keep UE below 8%? By all measures AND all the polls, the stimulus has failed miserable.

This is similar to obama saying "every economist" agrees with him. That turned out to be another lie easily exposed. I would say a majority of economist don't agree with him. Of course, the elitist attitude the Left has that no one but them knows what good for the masses is one of the problems obama has with the public - an arrogant and condescending attitude.

I'll try and explain; The UE rate went down because even more people stopped looking for work. December's 85,000 loss was actually 150,000. The enonomy shed 1 million MORE jobs last year than reported.

Btw; you'll have to include those democrats in congress in your description of uneducated masses - since THEY are the ones torpedoing his radical agenda - health care, Cap&Trade, his budget.

You need a new hobby. We get it. Every single post you ever write or cut-and-paste tows the ideological line without wavering. Let's be honest - no matter what Obama does, you will hate him. The massive tax breaks he's put in, the ramping up the war on terror, the market-based health care reform with many parts initially proposed by Republicans in the 90s, etc... You hated him before the election and you'll hate him after his term's finished. You fit neatly into a political box and don't really need to keep posting. We know what you think. It's like listening to Sean Hannity - you know what he's going to say before he says it.

Unfortunately for you, many of your assumptions and beliefs are wrong and, yes, any economist will tell you that all factors indicate the economy is in recovery.

The chair of his Council of Economic Advisers Christina Romer wrote last month that “The CEA estimates that as of the fourth quarter of 2009, the ARRA has raised employment relative to what it otherwise would have been by 1½ to 2 million.”

In her blog she wrote “approximately 2 million people are employed who otherwise would not be, because of the Act.”

That will escalate as Obama's disastrous policies continue to do even more damage leading up to the Nov. elections. You'll see a lot of Dem incumbents distancing themselves from PBO. The Dems will implode.

Ahh...a personal attack is all that you have? Can't address the points I made? Not surprising considering how "rosy" you view all that is obama.

And to bolster your point you quote Romer - obama's CEA Chair? We've already had a taste of how obama counts stimulus jobs - meaning on the last count, it was a total joke across the country as dozens of analyses found bogus numbers, bogus counting.

One good thing to come out of obama's push to implement his big ticket, massive government expansion agenda - the country is reminded of WHY far left democrats do not occupy the Oval Office very often.

This is a perfect lesson of the evils of liberalism.

I believe 0bama claimed to have created or saved "several million jobs" back in January.
