Angela Boneva always thought she was an American, never imagining that valued piece of her identity could be stripped away.

Because her father was born in Indiana, an American consulate in Bulgaria bestowed U.S. citizenship on Boneva when she was growing up there in 1981. It granted Boneva privileges unavailable to her Bulgarian friends, allowing her to visit relatives in Chicago and then to move to the area in 1997.

What's the problem?

Leftists everywhere keep telling us that the United States is a terrible place, racists, economy collapsing, full of immoral people, etc. etc., and that the entire world hates us and can't stand our country.

Sounds to me like this woman should be pleased as Punch to receive an all-expenses-paid one-way trip back to that relative paradise, Bulgaria. After all, she's now lived in both places, and is in a position to judge the relative merits of each.

What? You say maybe the U.S. isn't such a bad place after all?

In this forum, that's news.

Wow, you've got it way wrong. No, the world no longer hates us w/Obama in power, they hated us during Bush's reign. The rest of your rant about immoral people & the economy, etc.....I think you're confused, that's what comes out of the mouths of the right.

Sad story. The consulate office definitely had their head where the sun don't shine. If that were true there would be thousands upon thousands of Amerasians brought into this country in the '70s with no questions asked. As it was there had to be a special law passed to allow these kids in from Vietnam and elsewhere.

If by "world" you mean "most of Europe" then you might be correct. However, ask anyone in Iraq or Afghanistan what they think of Obama's foreign and military policy.

Obama is channeling Bush's third term. Same warmongering, same corporate ass-kissing

I think it's pretty obvious that there is one area of the world that will never be even close to being BFF's w/us no matter who is in the presidential seat so no, I don't even consider that when I posted.
