My grand father used to say a gentleman does not discuss religion or politics or try to sway others in either regard. Grand Pa lived to be 102 years old and he was a wiser man than I will ever be.
I never once heard him talk religion or try to apply it to the world. A church going man who never cussed. He was a live and let live kind of man. Never borrowed money, saved up for everything he ever bought.
Politicians tell enough lies without bringing their religion into the game.

I could be wrong but didn't Jesus take issue with some socalled religous leaders claiming to speak for god? He turned over some tables at a temple or something didn't he? Oh wait yeah and then they banned together and had him crucified for trying to ruin their good thing.
