Uh Ohhh, this can't be good news for the GOP.

On Politics: Covering the US Congress, Governors, and the 2010 Election - USATODAY.com

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office today released new estimates on the number of jobs created by the $862 billion stimulus package that are in line with similar estimates made by the White House.

The CBO says there were between 1 million and 2.1 million more jobs during the last three months of 2009 than there would have been without the stimulus law. The White House Council of Economic Advisers pegged that number as between 1.5 and 2 million jobs in a January report.

With the new debt created and the ensuing inflation, I doubt most people will want to go to work based on the cost of commuting there soon enough.

Imagine how much higher the unemployment would be with the GOP's lassiez-faire policies. But in all fairness they don't practice what they preach. Very few of their politicians are true fiscal conservatives.

Yeah I can see why saving 1-2 million jobs would suck.

Now you know the nay sayers will shoot this down and try to discredit the findings.

The problem with this report is that we haven't hit the bottom yet. Millions of Americans are going to continue to lose their jobs.

Anyway, Obama said 8%. He set the standard. He missed it. Any way you look at it the stimulus didn't work.

They just can't give the President any credit. It's like an atomic wedgie. It makes them wince every time.

As well as those Republicans that were able to obtain and retain a job due to the stimulas. I have YET to see anything showing that ONLY democrats benefitted from this.

Oh please. Like it matters. Americans are pissed off. Thats the bottom line.

If You think this is some great reason to rejoice then you need to reevaluate your standards. But the way did post a cost analysis?

Nah, Im sure a trillion tax payer dollars was well worth it. its not like that money would have been better off in our hands right now.

Instead it went to creating Government jobs that taxpayers pick up the tab for AGAIN.
