...‘Arrogant’ Power Grab Against the Founder’s Intent

<<< linky

So, the Donks have made it clear. They intend to pursue an arrogant power grab to pass health care. Evidence they really have no regard for the Constitution. Affirmation of their continuted abuse of the document.

The libs should be proud of their ilk.

STOP IT! STOP IT!

The last thing we need in the United States is majority rule, right? We'd better block those guys who claim they are entitled to pass legislation just because they hold a majority of both Houses of Congress. Who do they think they are?

I say let the Dem's use the nuclear option. It will make the senate alot more efficient. the Dem's will not always be in control of the senate and will have to understand they chose it.
I think it should be 51 votes anyway. the nuclear option would guarantee the republicans would get elected , at that point they to would no longer need 60 votes and the can alway say it was the Democrats choice to do it this way

Would that be the same """Nuclear Option""" the republicans have used 16 times in the last Congress?

Actually not exactly. The Republicans did what the Democrats are doing now went through Reconciliation. Reconciliation and the Nuclear Option are two totally different things. The right is of course lying yet again.

??? "Nuclear Option" is just a nickname for Reconciliation. It's the exact same thing. A Parlimentary move to allow legislation to go through with just 51 votes. What is the right lying about?

Reconciliation =/ the nuclear option. The Republicans are playing disingenuous word games again.

Incorrect. The nuclear option is changing Senate rules regarding the fillibuster; completely unrelated to reconciliation, which is a separate procedure.
