I don't fully agree. Did they pay into a system that provided for SS and medicare for over 40 years? Yes they did. To want what you have helped to pay for is NOT hypocritical.

Do you not have a reaction when you realize you are so deeply in debt?

What is so ignorant about

1-Wanting to decrease the debt
2-Wanting smaller gov
3-Wanting politicians to be just as accountable as you are? To live by the same standards you do
4-Wanting politicians to remember who they work for
5-not being taxes to death. Oh wait we are taxed to come into this world and leave it.

Even if some are not personally over 60....do they oppose the massive spending of Socialism Security benefits? Are they asking for the end to Socialist Medicare benefits? Do they propose that we are stop the Socialist Fire Departments, Police Departments, Public Schools and the Postal Service?

No?

So then what are they really protesting?

Well, let's see....they didn't start organizing until Nov 5, 2008 or was it Jan 20, 2009 - to protest "policies" and "gov't spending".....wink, wink? They are about 95% Caucasian. Oh, now I see what they're all about!

When Nancy Pelosi starts warming up to the Tea Partiers, you know they're a force to be reckoned with.

You sure to make a lot of assumtions - maybe I should use similar logic and believe in crap like 'Obama is a muslim' or 'The government planned 9/11'. They seem of similar kind to what you have done here...

Your answer to what the MAJORITY are protesting has already been answered in this thread by Jadex.

Nothing is ignorant about it.
Those who rely on government to run their lives are scared they will soon have to take more personal responsibility.

Agree with everything except #5.

Ron Paul supporters have been rallying against this for some time. They are credible. The rest of the movement is nothing more than a backlash against Obama and Democrats. No credibility with them.
