The European Union specifically forbids the bailing out of countries except under natural disasters. The only way Germany will even be able to attempt this is to use this particular loophole in some strange way. Germany won't give Greece one red cent and God bless them for standing firm.

It is inevitable. If Germany would actually help, then Portugal will come to the table wanting $$$, then Italy. Germany will most likely draw the line here, no farther.

Um, no.

The Associated Press: Germany's Merkel: Greece needs to implement plan

Germany may be socialist, but only to help other Germans. They're very matter of fact and serious people and will do nothing. They're not the United States where we bail out everyone. They're practical enough to realize the moral hazard of bailing them out with regards to the rest of the PIIGS.

The German people will NOT agree to such a ridiculous idea of cascading bailouts.

Why don't you first look up the word "socialist"? But let me do that for you.

Socialism - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary

Quote:
a system of society or group living in which there is no private property
If Greece wants money, then they will get it. The link even says that she did not rule it out.
