I would rather the government run the armed forces than a private company.

Running the country would be one. Or, do you propose we start electing corporations to run the country? You should really blame the founding fathers for being so pro-government.

Do you propose privatization of army as well? How about privatization of Medicare, and government controlling NO aspect of any social/safety nets and leave it all to the free market? How about we get rid of FAA, FDA, FCC... and let corporations dictate EVERY aspect of our lives? Won't that be starting point for the wonderful world of yours?

It's clear the private sector has a better approach to banking. How about we just turn over the Treasury Department to Goldman Sachs?

Considering private corporations have to balance their budgets, I dont think this would be all bad..

How so? You do realise that the founding fathers seperated from the British Government in order to be free of government right?

The army indeed contracts out to private businesses many of their operations. Did you miss all of the objections to bidless contracts?

Considering the free market 401K's and retirement funds are filled with assets, not IOU's, you arent making any points here.. How safe is your safety net if there is no cash

So if the FAA was abolished, you think airlines would just wreck planes for the fun of it? You think people would buy spoiled food if the FDA was abolished? You have very low opinions on americans..

to late, already done.. but since you want to compare the private sector banking to public, how about we compare the banking of Mae/Mac? Dont think you really want to go there..
