I'm confused from listening and reading all the different info & opinions. So when does this go into effect? Who will be paying for this? How much, how soon and when? 2012? Then on the radio i heard maybe 2013?
Anyone?
Taxes will kick in immediately. Those currently uninsured will not be able to suck at the t*t of their fellow taxpayers until 2014.
More payoffs for votes. These dirty deals will be great fodder come Nov.

_An Aug. 1, 2010, deadline on new doctor-owned hospitals to apply to the government for eligibility to serve — and get paid for — Medicare patients would be extended to Dec. 31. These include Mercy Hospital in Monclova, Ohio; Scranton Orthopedic Specialists in Dickson City, Pa.; and Paragon Rehabilitation in Goodlettsville, Tenn.
The three facilities are represented, respectively, by Democratic Reps. Marcy Kaptur of Ohio, Paul Kanjorski of Pennsylvania, and Bart Gordon of Tennessee. Gordon has switched to support the health legislation after opposing an earlier version and Kaptur said Sunday she would stick to her "yes" vote. Kanjorski hasn't indicated how he would vote.
Yep. These idiot are fiddling as the ship goes down. Congrats! You got one over on the "evil republicans".
Remember this day 10 years from now when you're wondering why you're denied basic health care because you don't rank high enough on the priority list. Remember it when our medical research grinds to a halt because there's no longer any money in it. Remember this when less and less of our best and brightest no longer go into medicine and our overall system suffers.
Remember this day you fools.
There is already a shortage of primary care physicians because they dont get compensated enough.
I can't believe it passed. Those who want healthcare were barking up the wrong tree. The politicians saw a need and capitalized on it to make Americans more dependent on them, and to control us more.
What do you expect from sheeple who cannot and will not think for themselves. If they see it on TV it's real and true. Nobody questions anything any more. Nobody pulls the curtain aside.
Laugh it up now, but this country is gonna be messed up. Maybe all the people for this bill didn't understand that there is still millions and millions of people unemployed. I thought that was the first priorty, to get the economy back on track. Just know if this doesn't work out, bye bye to the Dems, the Republicans will take over again.
I agree with you on one thing. The economy should have been priority number one, but oh well.....
And yes, I laugh it up now, and for a while.....
Always remember, takeovers are temporary...always have been, always will be.
What Pelosi is talking about sounds good, too bad this bill accomplishes little to none of it.
But unfortunately we live at a time where talking points rule and discussions with substance are completely absent. It's gotten so ridiculous that I've read news articles where they say in one paragraph the bill will cost $1 trillion over ten years and the next paragraph the bill will reduce the deficit by $138 billion. It's beyond ridiculous. But you have people like the previous poster where somehow I'm (no health insurance, don't want health insurance) sucking off the system because I don't pop pills and don't want to be forced to pay into that pot.
Can I help Rush pack his bags? Or will he come up with an excuse for not leaving the country?
Of course, he'll come up with excuses. He's full of S%IT
