Wonder how it's possible to insure more, expand benefits, and still reduce the deficit? It's not, of course.
Garbage in, Garbage out. They can only score what's given to them. Does anyone really believe it's pure coincidence that the CBO score came out exactly where it needed to be?
Not that it will make a difference. This thing will pass today; the true economic burden will be felt for decades.

Repeal is going to be the center piece of politics up to and including November election day. We'll all become well versed in the talking points as well as deceptions of the bill by then.
Speaking of election day... and the new Congress...
I'm all for health CARE reform...but not this GARBAGE insurance reform, that they are forcing down our throats
something this big, should be done at a constitutional level, a constitutaional amendment or covnention for an amendment.....not what skanky nancy is pushing
The CBOs calculations assume that future Congresses will cut medicare further, which will never happen, and assumes future tax increases to pay for the plan, which also will never happen.

You dont seem to mind imaginary future actions though to create an imaginary surplus budget, why is that? Ignorance is even more powerful than clairvoyance, because it allows people to be lied to while they pretend the lies are the truth.
Whatever it takes to make one feel better I guess, even if its ignorance of the truth..
Some of us have recognized Obama's and the Dems' continuous parade of clown car follies, have seen the tax increases coming for quite awhile now, including the increased taxes and costs for this HCR bill, and have positioned ourselves accordingly.
We're going to sit back and stick the tax bill to the hopelessly naive Obama cheerleaders and apologists. I'm pretty sure that includes a fair number of young adults who have managed to screw themselves irreparably at this point...
Blind ideology has a pretty steep price tag, suckers...

"Closing the donut hole'
Sounds good, doesn't it?
Going beyond only that touted claim, it looks like it will put some money into our left hand by taking it out of the right.
I find no assurances/plans that will keep overall costs from rising
The write of the op-ed piece - yes, a former director of the CBO - is president of the American Action Forum.
The American Action Forum will lead the policy debate and will seek the input of center-right leaders who understand that government has an important, but limited role in protecting our freedoms, promoting the free-market, and helping our citizens. The American Action Forum seeks to shape and improve the substance and tone of the debate in Congress and elsewhere. We seek to support those who believe in a vibrant private sector complemented by effective, tightly-articulated policies where the government has a unique role. We will engage in an intellectual battle with reflexive liberals who see continued growth in the size and power of the federal government as the only solution.
Not exactly a source of objective analysis.
