Clearly the large majority of folks who fled from Cuba in the '60s were the wealthy and the political leaders of that country because they had the means to get out first. However, whatever the case, obviously, being "born and raised poor" did not teach you anything about compassion; perhaps only self-hatred and hatred for all others who struggle in this life. You, having implied that you are a medical doctor, seem to lack the understanding that all people are not born with equal IQs, yet you expect people with an IQ of, say, 60 to be able to compete with you and have a fair chance at earning enough money to support themselves in this country with increasing numbers of greedy people who hate the poor with a passion. It's not a level playing field, and certainly someone with a medical background should be able to understand that concept.

Your posts suggest you are still living in the '60s with the mentality that everyone is living off welfare just for fun. Wake up. It's 2010.

Of course I despise Che. He was a ruthless killer and only a moron, or one beguiled by sophmoric college posters, would praise such a tyrant. But then again, you are a liberal, so I would expect such behavior.

Hate the poor? Yes, of course the liberals hate the poor. Marx, as you may not even know (given how little you know about Che Guevera) praised fuedalism as a system in which the masses were rightly ruled by thier superiors. Your core beliefs, by embracing marxism, are ones of subjugation and limitation of freedom. Witness Cuba, USSR, China, North Korea- all paradises for personal freedom. Currently, Nancy Pelosi is the richest member of Congress and despises the poor, thus her desire to secure a permanent serf class over which the "elite" can rule and maintain thier power. The libs are no friend of the poor and never have been. If the libs truely wanted to help the poor, they would allow them the social mobility that would permit rising to the position of the 'elite". They want nothing of the sort. Read a little history, my friend, as you have been fooled by the utopian fairy tale of marxism.

If someone has an IQ of 60, do you think they will do well in ANY political system? How do the mentally retarded fare in Cuba or North Korea? Some peoplem, by virtue of no tools at all, cannot be helped. However, previously in the US, anyone with marginal intelligence and the ability to work can become rich in the US. My next door neighbor has ADD and owns a meat packing plant and over 5,000 acres of farm land.

Now comes the question, Hummer-

Why have you not made it in the US?

1. lack of intelligence?
2. lack of education?
3. lack of motivation?

It is one of the three, or perhaps a combination of all of the above.

OP - your original post was a marvel of sarcasm. Unfortunately you are trying to argue with these selfish nitwits.

Ah "selfish". The new liberal buzz word for those who fail to embrace marxism.

If one is not giddy about giving up one's income and assets to others who did not earn them, one is "selfish" in the mind of a liberal. Well, in my world, one who did not earn thier own assets is either "stupid", "lazy", or "ignorant". All those factors will contribute to downward mobility and it is usually one or a combination of those factors that has resulted in the outcome.

Socialism provides losers in society with a convenient excuse- you are not a loser because of anything YOU have done. The reason that you have not been successful is that SOCIETY has conspired to prevent your ascention to your rightful position in society. And further, the rich just stole, inherited, or cheated to achieve thier position. Any socialist will tell you so. Therefore the take home message to socialists is-

because you are a considerate, honest person, you have no chance of becoming successful in a capitalistic system. Therefore, as an honest and righteous person, you must embrace socialism. Socialism will further placate your hurt feelings at not having been successful in life.

The real reasons for failure-

1. lack of intelligence
2. lack of hard work
3. lack of education

If YOU have failed, blame YOURSELF, not others. Pull yourself up and act like a man and assume some responsibility. To ignore these facts is to continue to live and behave like a child. Don't be compelled to be GREEDY and covet what others have earned. Socialism appeals to your sense of greed and want, otherwise you would be happy with your own accomplishments, and the things YOU HAVE EARNED yourself.

I guess whatever you think

1. IQ 156
2. BS in chemical engineering, M.D., four year residency, fellowship
3. usually work 70 hours per week

Socialists very much want to blame everyone else for thier problems, as it avoids the uncomfortable introspection that one must conduct when faced with failure. "What have I DONE to cause this unhappy result" is often a difficult question to ask of one's self. Often, the answers are uncomfortable, so it is easier to blame others and covet another man's assets through direct theft or with the aid of the government.

When it comes down to it, socialism is government sanctioned theft, fueled by greed and envy of those who want treasure they did not earn. Fortunately, I do not suffer from such greed and envy, therefore socialism is not appealing to me. However, if I was a loser with no intelligence, no education, and a poor work ethic, socialism would be just fine. I can see the appeal to you.

I am glad that you no longer want my money. I am afraid that your fascist government, however, wants more of my money. A good deal of it is safely out of the country and out of thier reach, fortunately.
Yep, just like those wealthy and smart Cubans did back in the late '50s, got their money out of the country before they left, to places like Spain and South America. So you have off-shore accounts. LOL Did you pay taxes on that money you got "safely out of the country" which you earned in this country?

As you CLEARLY don't like the U.S. government, then you would do very well to leave, and maybe even leave soon, and start your new life in Brazil. Get your "medical practice" set up as soon as possible. With your attitude toward the U.S., you won't be missed here. Interesting attitude for someone who thinks that their family helped build the U.S. as you stated in a previous post that you want to run off to Brazil. Btw, did you know that they have a lot of poor people in Brazil? Very, very poor people......in particular street children.

Usually work 70 hours per week........so that must be WHY you have so much free time to post on an Internet forum. Yeah, right. All my doctor friends spend their little bit of free time posting on the Internnet! LOL

Sure they have poor people in Brazil. However, they don't try to steal from everyone else with socialism.

I really do not think that there will be a a reason to leave the US, however, as there may be a physical separation between capitalistic US and socialistic US within my lifetime. This is not so much of an issue for me, but more for my kids. The productive citizens and states will break off from the non-productive and probably continue on as the US. There has never been a situation in history in which the productive have consented to support the non productive for long. It is a bum's paradise, but is a system destined for failure.

PS- I do pay my taxes. That is how bums like you are able to survive- for now.

Let me ask you once again: Are you aware that not all people are born with the same IQ level? Do you think someone with an IQ of, say 65, could have accomplished all that YOU CLAIM you have accomplilshed? Also, what about brain damage, and other serious physical injuries which prevent people from competing with folks who have IQs of, say, "156"......your posts just seem to be so filled with hatred toward the poor, ALL POOR people. I'm very skeptical of someone being a medical doctor who seems to have absolutely NO COMPASSION at all for people who are not wealthy......which would make one question whether or not any desire to help a wealthy ill person would be based on greed and making money rather than healing. Maybe a shrink would help you get over what seems to be self-hatred for having to live in poverty AS YOU CLAIM at some point in your life. Key words: AS YOU CLAIM.
