To be fair, we didnt need to create them until a Democratic Congress took office.

Tariffs are not a bad way to impose taxes as long as other taxes are reduced an equal amount. Otherwise you strangle economic growth and the ability of Americans to buy their own products as our prices increase.

So they made time and a half on their 8 dollar an hour job that offered no benefits? And how dumb can you be, you have a salary so you don't get overtime, companies that do that tend to work you 40+ a week, but put your faith in big business and not the people looking out for the worker, that's the free market and capitalism.

I never been part of a union. I've only made $8 an hour at one job. Every other job I've had since I was 18 has paid more.

I like it better that way. I don't see why a person would pay someone to negoitiate for them. If I want a raise I go to the boss and tell him why I think I deserve a raise. I'm grown. I can handle it. I don't need some union flunky deciding things like that for me.

I've also had jobs where I have refused OT at times. Never had any negative repercussions.

Funny, the free market and capitalism have always looked out for me. Always.

Of course, I don't go to work with a resentnment toward my boss either like some people. He makes more than me. Good for him. He deserves it. Attitude goes a long way.

Actually, the tax cuts were for all those who paid taxes, not just the "rich."

They'll figure it out next year when the taxes go back up.

Don't expect to hear them admit it though.

Uh, sure.

Families earning more than $1 million a year saw their federal tax rates drop more sharply than any group in the country as a result of President Bush’s tax cuts, according to a new Congressional study.

The study, by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, also shows that tax rates for middle-income earners edged up in 2004, the most recent year for which data was available, while rates for people at the very top continued to decline.

Um.. tell me how a family earning $20K a year can possibly receive an out of pocket tax cut greater than someone earning $1M a year.. How is that POSSIBLE?

Do you understand how the story discusses DOLLAR figures vs a percentage? Of course those who earn more would receive a higher DOLLAR tax cut because THEY EARN MORE.

If the math is difficult for you..

Take a $25,000 car, and a $100,000 car.. Deduct 5% from both and tell me what one is cheaper? Hint, its STILL the $25K car

I've posted numerous times that those cuts were enjoyed by everyone.
The response: "Obama promised to only remove the cuts from the rich".
Yeah..I read that too but haven't seen one word put to paper and passed by Congress.

"Hope and Change" is a might powerful aphrodisiac.
