They just can't bring themselves to stay on topic when one of their own is being criticized.
Sharpening your elbows is a fairly well-known metaphor. Stopping someone else's vehicle (illegal except during an emergency, everywhere in the US) is not. I don't care how much the Miborns of the world try to spin and deflect, I will roll my eyes at their dishonesty.
Going by the typical Palin bumper sticker demographic in my neighborhood the conversation would go something like this.
Palin Fan: So, how is that hopey changey thing working out for you?”
Padcrasher: Just wonderful you toothless old fart. I've made more money this year than I have in my entire life, my kids go to the best schools, I have excellent health insurance, and my job and pension are secure. ...................Not to mention we are rid of BUSH and the GOP Controlled Senate!

Sarah Palin gave a Nevada Tea Party Express rally some curious marching orders on Saturday, telling them to stop and harass anyone with an Obama bumper sticker. After quoting a common conservative sticker (“Government: If you think our problems are bad, wait until you see our solutions”) she said, “Or that bumper sticker you see on the next Subaru driving by, an Obama bumper sticker, you should stop the driver and say, ‘So, how is that hopey changey thing working out for you?”
Palin is trying hard to look like a moron....... She is a moron and should be told she doesn't have to try.
