Doesn't matter as much as the fact that he is an uncharismatic old man with a head the size of a blimp. Does this matter to me, not at all, does it matter to the majority of eligible voters in this current television age of sound bites and superficiality, you bet. He is toast, you'd have better chance with a life size Reagan cutout.

I would vote for the Reagan cutout over Reagan the actor any day.

More radical than Dubya who waged a 3 trillion dollar war justified with lies. A war that has cost thousands of American lives and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives?

Love Newt. I guess this is the opening salvo to Nov - we know what the narrative will be.

The same Newt who pressed his first wife to sign divorce papers while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery?

Yeah, he's quite a guy alright..

Newt! The man of family values too!

Quote:
Newt Gingrich was the most notorious of them all. Gingrich, who ran for Congress in 1978 on the slogan, "Let Our Family Represent Your Family." (He was reportedly cheating on his first wife at the time). In 1995, an alleged mistress from that period, Anne Manning, told Vanity Fair's Gail Sheehy: "We had oral sex. He prefers that modus operandi because then he can say, 'I never slept with her.'" Gingrich obtained his first divorce in 1981, after forcing his wife, who had helped put him through graduate school, to haggle over the terms while in the hospital, as she recovered from uterine cancer surgery. In 1999, he was disgraced again, having been caught in an affair with a 33-year-old congressional aide while spearheading the impeachment proceedings against President Clinton.

Well if Newt say it, it must be true. He has absolutely no ulterior motive ... like perhaps a presidential run himself...?
