In some ways he's right...oh God, I might throw up a little, but he and Ron Paul pointed this out. The best militart is one on the defense here, not the offense over there.

I've been wondering if mainstream conservatism would ever get on board with something like this: Shut down a majority of oversea bases. build a number of bases along the the border with Mexico (and Canada, in the name of equality), save $$$ in the process (I think) and protect America in the process. Is that realistic and a good idea, or am I naive?

Protecting our borders and saving money in doing so makes much more sense than bumper sticker logic we have been using in the Middle East..."Fight them there, so we don't have to fight them here". BS!

...and the Neocons have gone silent

I agree with most of what he says. However, Glenn Beck has changed his position, so many times, on so many things, this is just the flavor of the week.

I'm cool with alliances, but agree with all of the rest that you said.

If people want to donate to Foreign countries, let them donate to the red cross.

I think the more you listen to Glenn Beck, the more sense he makes.
At first, I couldn't change the channel fast enough but after forcing myself to listen, I find myself REALLY listening.
