He did campaign as a centrist and even had a centrist staff. Once elected though he dumped them all and started finding "new" friends. But the Obama worshipers didn't see that..did they ?
I don't know where some of you live. It ain't anywhere near here though. Obama campaigned for the nomination as a liberal, and for President as a moderate. He has governed as a committed centrist which is why he gets so much flack from the left. There are people here who are really very, very confused about politics.
Any guess to WHO is in charge of the committee working on financial reform? Biggest recipients of hedge funds in control of regulation on those hedge funds - what could go wrong?
I don't recall anyone bashing McCain when he was working on campaign finance reform. I think most considered it was his way to atone for his own abuses of campaign finance.

Right. Abramoff and DeLay never happened. Scooter Libby was framed. Alberto Gonzalez never lied to Congress. Dusty Foggo was strictly above board. $21 billion didn't mysteriously disappear in Iraq. Kenneth Tomlinson was the best thing that ever happened to public broadcasting. David Safavian was a Boy Scout. Everyone's daughter should grow up to be a good Christian like Monica Goodling. The recent Bush adminsistration may not compare to that of Reagan for sheer criminality, but as far as simple sleaze goes, they are way ahead of anything since.
Ah, you refer to Prisoner No. 94405-198 at the US Penitentiary -Tucson. I kind of lumped him in with Abramofff, I guess. There are too many to give them all individual billing, but you may be right that the current holder of the all-time record for longest prison sentence ever given to a former Congressperson should have gotten individual mention...
Actually I see the Obamas taking advantage of this story but don't know just what they are trying to hide behind it. Do you have any idea.
He instigated this "story". There is no doubt the WH is behind these charges. Remember the obama pattern, in EVERY PIECE OF LEGISLATION he tries to pass - find a target, demonize them, partake in divisive, partisan, identity politics.
