By slanting news coverage to support their idealogy, they've managed to sway public opinion. Should'nt Fox news be allowed to do the same to bring some real objectivity to the news.
I'm not going to defend FOX's News standards because they don't need defending. Is FOX News 'objective"? By the standards of a professional scientist conducting research in a bubble suit and hermetically-sealed clean room, no.But by the standards of contemporary journalism--i.e., the new york times, cbs, and msnbc-- absolutely. In reality, FOX easily exceeds those standards everyday.Think about this for a second. The White House-- residence of the most powerful government in the world, home of the "nuclear football", guarantor of freedom around the world---launched an official attack website targeting a private news organization. In America. Rumors that the Obama Administration's FOX Lies website was designed by Hugo Chavez can not be confirmed.
Why do liberals detest FOX News with such a burning passion? Why does Fox News loom so large in the liberal imagination?Why do they see it as a fire- breathing monster with frightening powers aimed at destroying the Democratic Party? Especially when you consider that there are 300 million people living in this country and on any given night only about 2 million are watching Fox News, would any rational person think Fox news is the evil empire.How can a news operation possibly be " fair and balanced" when it has the gall to present both sides of the arguement.
^^This.. Good post.

Now that's a rant! Reads like something Dennis Miller might come up with. Loved it.

Oh, and you have the right to choose if you want insurance or not. At least you will have that right for a little while longer.

It's just typical hypocrisy and it exposes the fact that Fox News is a rabidly partisan propaganda outlet. It's obvious to anyone who has the slightest shred of honesty.

Considering about 75% of the media was anti-Bush those approval ratings are not really surprising.

Also, if you like presidents who overspend, then Obama is doing a "heck of a job."

The other news sources work for the White House so they are going to spin Obama out to be a "god" who can do no wrong.

I actually remember Glenn Beck questioning Bush's economic policies after the recession hit in 2008. He was questioning the first stimulus package when we all got a check in the mail for $300-$600. Mike Huckabee said that this stimulus package would only stimulate the economy of China and not work here in the U.S. He was right. These are two people who questioned the Bush administration and they have shows on Fox News.

If the liberals are crying about Fox News not questioning Republicans, maybe we should be asking why MSNBC, CNN, NBC, ABC, and CBS don't question President Obama. The liberals seem fine with the liberal media making their leader out to be a lord.

Again, why do liberals care if we watch Fox News? The more threads I see about liberals crying about Fox News, the more I want to watch it. Liberals don't have to watch Fox News, so what the heck is the problem? Just turn the dang channel if you don't like it. Liberals can watch the stations listed above and shut up about those of us who want to watch Fox News.

Poll: should we be in Iraq? 12% yes, 82% no (average over a 3year period)
Faux News: The poll just shows that to be a true leader you have to make the tough decisions that everyone might not like

Poll: should obama pass the healthcare bill? 45-52% yes, 45-52% no (averaged over a 3month period)
Faux News: So despite the wishes of the American people obama said to hell with them and he's going to do whatever he wants anyway
2008 Election Coverage...

Fox News
40% of McCain stories were negative
40% of Obama stories were negative

MSNBC
73% of McCain stories were negative
14% of Obama stories were negative

(Source: Project for Excellence in Journalism, Oct. 29, 2008)

Now you know what the real "faux" news channel is, right?

Just as a reminder:
Faux=MSNBC
Faux=MSNBC
Faux=MSNBC
Faux=MSNBC
Faux=MSNBC

Repeat 5 times daily.
