They had a republic by that time. There's more than one way to take over a country too. Norman Thomas, socialist candidate for president, said this:

Elected officials take an oath to uphold the Constitution. How then can a communist who desires to destroy it, hold office?

I am not against people from different countries as long as they LEARN English which most of them hate doing.
Sexuality is something you cannot control. Same with race. However, shoving religion down other throat is. There is NO PROOF of a God existing. So why push fairytales and such onto people? And then they wonder why the US lags behind. As long as you keep feeding them this, students will reflect that.
Liberal tolerance for me is a stereotype. I never claimed to be tolerant of others especially those who wanna spout their trash and then expect me to just "tolerate it".

I have to wonder what it is that scares you so much about those with whom you disagree. Your abrasive attitude toward those of faith reminds me very much of those who are similarly abrasive toward gay people, black people, hispanic people..etc. They can't reasonably show WHY they feel such anger toward those people...just that they anger them for fairly foolish reasons. Your attitude toward God reminds me of a small child who believes that if they close their eyes you can't see them.
Yeah, that can happen when you make vague, general accusations, instead of specific, substantive allegations. Anyone who goes fishing with a seine net is going to catch more fish than someone who fishes with a cast line. The trouble is, the seine net gathers a lot of things you weren't trying to catch.
When the very survival of the U.S. is at stake, some have to take the bullets. All in all, many times more good, than harm was done revealling the communist pigs that had infiltrated, or been infiltrated.

Seriously speaking though, I dont think we should focus on faith or religion. Foolish reasons, huh? I am worried about people who think there is a fairy in the sky. I mean, why can't Peter Pan be real? Or Lord Obama? I made a thread about that and all these Christians came on there crying about how it is not real. How do you know? YOU DON'T! People who make it the center of their lives are lacking self esteem in my opinion. And in addition to that, I think it makes that person weak. They want to shove it down everyones throats, put that crap in schools and whatnot because THEIR faith isn't strong enough.
Science, reason, FACT and LOGIC above fairy tales and folklore. And like I said, we feed our kids this crap and then wonder why we are lagging behind. EMPHASIZE science and fact. Not fantasy!

A VAST majority of the WORLDS population identify themselves as being religious (over 80%). They do not consider "God" as a "fairy"
And, while you may not believe in a God - do not believe in any religion - I might suggest that, at the very least, show some respect to those that DO BELIEVE - something which you do not now show - respect, something that you obviously do not know the meaning.
I may not agree with your lack of belief in God but, I do respect the fact that you feel as you do - and I will not, as you do, belittle or berate you for your feelings.
