"A NY state senator with a history of anger management issues says his race-based rant [against his Republican colleagues] was part of his fight against the 'evil of white supremacy.'"

NY Senator: 'You Racist People In Here' - wcbstv.com (http://wcbstv.com/topstories/kevin.parker.outburst.2.1660854.html - broken link)

He's from Brooklyn.

"He needs help," said Sen. Ruben Diaz (D-Bronx), an ally who witnessed the latest angry outbursts. 'He lost control of himself.' Earlier this year, the imposing Parker screamed at fellow Democratic Sen. Diane Savino of Staten Island and charged toward her during an emotional closed-door Democratic conference."

State Sen. Kevin Parker erupts again with raced-based rant, and even allies are concerned

His history:

Accused of felony assault after doing $1,000 in damage to the car of a photographer and smashing his camera. Trial coming up.

An aide filed charges claiming he pushed her during an argument and smashed her glasses.

Accused of punching a traffic agent in the face. Charges dropped after he agreed to anger management classes. Guess they didn't work.

Default Cry Me A River: News Media Love Affair With The White House Is Over

It's hard to choose sides in this one.

"Obama and the media actually have a surprisingly hostile relationship — as contentious on a day-to-day basis as any between press and president in the past decade, reporters who cover the White House say. Reporters say the White House is thin-skinned, controlling, eager to go over their heads and stingy with even basic information."

And, are you ready for this --they're all whinging that Obama and White House minions play favorites with THE NY TIMES! Oh what a shock!!!

Why reporters are down on President Obama - Josh Gerstein and Patrick Gavin - POLITICO.com

The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Let's look at Pelosi: While the folks in CA's 8th district as a rule seem to be fairly level headed though left-leaning, they continue to re-elect an obvious nut-case. Go figure.

The NY State Senate as a whole is pretty dysfunctional. Last year we had a stalemate when Republicans and two Democrats Monserrate and Espada Jr (both of whom were being investigated on various criminal activity) came together to try and overthrow the Dem majority. Monserrate was later expelled from the Senate from his charges and Espada Jr is in serious trouble himself.
