If I remember correctly, the Teabaggers also scheduled parties on the anniversary of the OKC bombing.

Obviously the Teabaggers care little about their country but a whole lot about themselves..

Quote:
An event described as the “Woodstock” of tea parties is planned for Sept. 11 at the Monona County Fairgrounds in Onawa in western Iowa.

Craig Halverson of Griswold, who is helping to organize the event, said supporters hope to attract at least 1,000 people from Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and other states. He said they are inviting prominent conservative speakers and plan to have bands perform patriotic music.

The event will have a “Take back our country” theme, Halverson said.

Halverson added that “organizers don’t plan to spend the day reflecting” on the 9/11 attacks.

I like how it says "inviting prominent conservatives"

Why not invite the opposition? You might hear something you dislike, but that doesn't make it any less true. Seriously, how many times do you want to hear Sarah Palin say "you betcha"?

Seriously, 9/11 should be a day to remember what happened, and not to talk about taxes.

Tea party; a place where aging middle class whites can gather to whine about their hard lives.

Something like that could backfire, big time.

You would think..

The RW has always used 9/11 for political purposes. The Teabaggers are no exception..

Especially when the teagbaggers love to claim that they are an independent, bipartisan movement and not just tools of the Republican establishment.

You know what happens when you only listen to people who share your opinion?

Sooner or later, you're the only one left in the room.

Using and abusing 9/11 has worked for Bush, Cheney and Al Qaeda. I can see why teabaggers don't want to be left behind.

This is truly disgusting. 9/11 should be a somber day and not one for parties or rallies. Same as the anniversary of the OKC bombing. I wonder if they will have more calls for "bringing down the USA" government. Perhaps they can borrow some signs from Al Qaida.
