I hear it from the far left, and from muslims, saying you might have freedom of speech, but you don't have a right to offend.
Let's presume that were true for a moment. If you could ban any speech that offends anyone, we'd all be speaking sign language...
It really pisses me off when people say that freedom of speech comes with responsibilities (to not offend). It does not. Freedom of speech exists to protect things you don't like, because you wouldn't need rights to say something that was popular....
Don't get violent over cartoons. That's irrational.
