Is there anybody here who really doesn't like the military as the Clintons have seemed to be? I am surely with the majority according to this poll. Pretty big majority, too.

Me too. I was drafted many moons ago. It was a good experience.

I greatly admire those who serve, while I question many of the priorities of institution itself.

For the most part, I like it.

However, there are a few things I don't like about it. It's often used as a political prop. Are you aware that some gang members are also in the military? Now, that's a scary thought. Isn't the military supposed to keep the riff-raff out?

The folks in our military are the very best we have to offer the world. We ask them to work in harsh conditions and give up many of their Constitutional rights and privileges, and sometimes they must obey draconian rules and regulations, the likes of which no other segment of our society would tolerate. And then we ask them to maintain a higher set of morals and ethics then any citizen, even asking them to give their lives in the course of their duties.

I like our military, but I don't necessarily like the Washington critters that are in charge of them.

Oddly, those critters tend to be military professionals
