How about some examples of how Cheney was "really" in charge?
Bob Woodward is a respected political investigator and author. How about reading the book and/or the Post article linked above if you really want to know about how Cheney was actually calling all the shots?

Let's talk in January 2013, mmm k?

And he's not gonna be a one-termer because the Republicans have seriously gone off the deep end. Just like nobody wanted to see a Goldwater/Mondale/Dukakis/Dole administration, nobody wants to see a Palin/Romney/Paul administration. Downs's theory y'all.
Oh, I disagree, especially about the Goldwater/Mondale ticket! We desperately NEEDED Goldwater (or somebody like him) to LEAD us through the Viet Nam quagmire. With Goldwater at the helm, we just MIGHT have succeeded over there instead of running with our tail between our legs!
Oh, and before some of you open wide and stick your foot down your throat, YES, I WAS THERE, with the 25th Infantry Division, 1966! There were MANY of us who wanted Goldwater!
"nobody wanted to see a Goldwater/Mondale...administration"! What a STUPID statement!

I know that politicians will say anything to get elected. That being said, Obama fooled a lot of people into thinking that he was different. (remember "Hope and Change"?) Not only is he not different, by he is the most partisan President in history.

Well if you are concerned about a part time president here are some recent numbers.

Vacation days taken
Obama - 27 days in first year. on track for 216 days in 8 yr
GW Bush - 879 -8yr 30%
Clinton - 152 days -8yr - 5 %
Bush sn - 543 days - 4yr 37%
Reagan - 335 days -8yr - 11%
Carter - 79 days -4 yr 5%

To make the math easy there are 1461 days in a 4 year term

Carter and Clinton kept their time off similar to what most Americans get, 3 weeks / year.
Must be nice to have an 8 year gig you get nearly 3 yrs of vaca for...
