I don't think Obama's administration did a good job in their actions, but I'd like to just point out that you have ZERO impeachable offense. You have three impeachable offenses in your dreams, because your biggest fantasy would be to wake up and have Obama disappear. Not gonna happen, so keep dreaming.

That said, it is quite probably that Obama will lose in 2012. BP is a serious hit, and even without that he would have probably lost because of the economy - any politician who would be in office during these times would probably lose.

I highly doubt it.

The "corporate moderate" wing of the Dems is the LEAST disappointed with Obama of any part of the party.

A primary challenge to Obama is most likely to come from the left wing of the party - probably Kucinich.

As for a Republican beating Obama in 2012, the only Republican who I see having a chance at beating Obama in 2012 is Gary Johnson. Unfortunately it would be difficult for Johnson to win the GOP primary.
Kucinich is a true progressive, a Constitutionalist (carries a copy at all times), an honest man, a nice man, a smart man. Altogether too good to be POTUS. And people don't like him because they don't carefully listen to his policies and think he's "weird" so the PTB don't have to worry about a challenge from him and would NEVER allow him to win. My goodness, he'd cancel our deal with the the Fed and we'd print and use our own money interest free. That will NEVER happen.

I do love Kucinich in the debates speaking truth to power- so I hope he runs for POTUS as long as he can.

How about Alan Grayson?

Not that it matters. As posted above, our Prez is selected- NOT elected. So in the end, it really doesn't matter. If Obama is a good puppet, they'll keep him. If he tries anything funny (in their view) they'll get a new puppet. ("They" are old families in banking and in the military/industrial complex.)

I think it will be a close race with whoever he ends up against, but I'm still not sure at this point if Obama would really lose or not. He has some things really going against him right now (economy still very bad, etc.) but he will always have things going for him (most blacks will probably still vote for him). I still don't know if I would vote for him either. I think that he is trying very hard to enact some change but he is facing some extremely difficult problems in this country and no matter who is President right now it's going to be hard to get some good things done. Ask again in another year.

Perhaps, you should actually answer the question.

ps, Sestak broke no laws, wasn't even unethical. So keep up trying. It was not a criminal act. So maybe you should watch something other that Fox News.

The period between now and November 6th, 2012 (the day of the Presidential Election) will be a very pivotal time in American history. I think one of two paths will be taken:

One- Republicans gain a fair amount of seats in the Midterm elections. Between then and 2012, America continues to tilt further and further to the right. Obama drops to Bush like approval ratings. Republican wins in 2012 with a good percentage, leading to Conservative rule for a period of time.

Two- Republicans make slight gains or hold steady, and the economy shows signs of improvement between then and 2012. Socialized measures begin to take hold, and Americans begin to grasp a European government type system. Despite a good amount of people strongly opposing him, Obama wins re-election, ushering in a new era of European style quazi-Socialism.
I was with you until point #2. Obama is as much of a corporatist as Bush ever was. Stop spewing drivel.

I think that Obama has a better than even shot of winning. His approval has been in the 40s for months now, which shows that he's leveled off, even with an economy that's still in big trouble. If the economy picks up (and it will), it will help him enormously. For those who right him off - your ignorance is showing. He's 18 months into a 48 month term. Anything can happen in that time frame, and to think it can't is ignorance.

The Republicans need to worry less about sticking it to Obama right now than they do about getting their party together and picking a leader who can actually LEAD. They have so many jokers right now that I almost think that the 2012 election will come down to who THEY run, not Obama. If Palin sneaks in, it's over. She is not electable. The Republicans have a base of voters, whatever you may think of them. Right now, they're playing to that base. If they want to win, they have to move beyond that, which they're not doing. That's why I think those who are expecting a 1994 this November will be sorely mistaken.

Well, I hope he loses but I'll leave that out of this for now.

The more interesting thing IMO is what direction the GOP ends up going.

-I really like Christie but 2012 is too soon and he'll still have unfinished business in NJ. No one likes a quitter and he's too good to waste this early but I would definitely be looking for him in 2020 or 2016 if Obama does win in 12.

-Sarah Palin is pretty much the worst thing the GOP could do. Not that I think she's that terrible in terms of policies and things but as a candidate she has zero to no ability to win a national election, especially after she quit on the job up in Alaska.

-I think the best thing for the GOP (and the country) would be to go with a Pat Buchanan type conservative. With the wars in the middle east and Americans becoming increasingly angry over jobs being shipped overseas, I think it would be great if the GOP rejected the neo-cons that have taken over and returned to their roots as anti-interventionists and protectionists.

-Mitt Romney is the token candidate and would make the GOP about as appealing as they were with John McCain. Basically this would be the GOP saying they learned nothing and just want to keep on going with the same old moderate, neo-con, quasi-conservative path they have been going on. Tim Pawlenty would be basically the same thing.

-There are also a number of relatively unknown politicians like Haley Barbour from MS, Mike Pence from IN, Paul Ryan from WI, etc that could pop up, too.

Basically as someone else said, the GOP should focus on these principles that woud give them the best chance to win:

-Get out of the wars and limit interventionist policies overseas.
-More protectionist policies that protect jobs
-Repeal or greatly reduce Obamacare and other entitlements
-CLOSE THE BORDERS!

He'll win. The GOP simply don't have anybody they can stand toe to toe with Obama. They've got Palin and her Facebook/Twitter updates and Glenn Beck as their heroes right now. While they convince themselves almost daily that Obama is the anti-Christ they can't see past the end of their nose to realize the rest of the country doesn't necessarily agree with them. If anything the Republicans will be in for a big letdown in 2012. I look forward to it.
