Hello,
I just finished up my Esthetic education and looking to move to West Palm Beach, May 3rd. I'm currently seeking housing with a rental budget not to exceed 1,000 a month. I currently live in Denver, Co and have resided at my current apartment for 3 years. Good rental history. I'm in search of rentals in zip code 33401, West palm beach, Tampa, Ft. Lauderdale. I'm in search of a one or two bedroom in a nice clean quite neighborhood. Condo, duplexes, single level homes, apartments, town homes are options. If your a owner or apartment complex or know of any listing. Please contact me via this post or e-mail denver7301@gmail.com

Sincerely,
Diane D

Diane there is a forum just for West Palm Beach -- this one is for the area N of there. Try the forum called West Palm Beach - Boca- Boynton

and for your own safety... dont put email address or phone number in ANY public forum

That kind of money is going to get you into iffy/sketchy areas/complexes down there. Oakland Park, for example. Be VERY careful of Craigs list.

Because your utilities put you into the 800 per month or so bracket for rent.

Try and start with your stuff in storage and a room mate situation not on the lease...until you figure out what you're doing. Or a 3 month lease or something or Execustay. Florida can have 3 "good" streets right next to a really really bad neighborhood and you have no clue.

Try Tamarac near Ft Lauderdale. There's a good room mate situation on realtor dot com right now for 650 on University Dr in a condo complex. Technically in Sunrise.

she is looking in West Palm Beach... not in Tamarac or Lauderdale, or Oakland park. Those areas are no where near the area she is supposed to be working.

Diane there is next to nothing for the $1000 you want to pay....where are you going to be working? You need a job first.
That is a priority no matter what.

LOL what are you even talking about?

FIRST OF ALL, she included Ft Lauderdale and I advised her she was in the ballpark of Oakland Park or Tamarac for that money which is where EVERYONE moves if they can't afford FLL.

The OTHER contiguous locations like Lauderhill are not considered "safe". Same thing with WPB which I know INTIMATELY. She can't afford the good areas of WPB. Tamarac is a suburb of Ft Lauderdale. Just like all the OTHER cities and CDPs contiguous to the FLL city boundaries.

See Oakland Park and Ft Lauderdale boundary map:

https://www.maptechnica.com/city-map...ale/FL/1224000

I lived there and grew up there part time my whole life. My kid attended college in Boca, then lived in Tamarac, Ft Lauderdale OAKLAND PARK, and downtown WPB.

I know what I'm talking about having househunted with him and myself for many years.

This reminds me of the time you posted THIS critique on the FLL area without being informed about it. The Tarpon River neighborhood. Then a bunch of people who don't know squat about FLL started insisiting the house was a "tear down" etc LOL.

a small reality check on house prices in this area

Maybe you should look into some of the western areas of Palm Beach County like Royal Palm Beach or Wellington. I live further north in Palm Beach Gardens. It's beautiful here- very family oriented, quiet but close to bigger city amenities if you need them. $1,000 a month will be hard to find, however, I did have a friend that rented in a nice neighborhood in west palm beach from a private owner. Her zipcode was 33411. Anyway, check out those areas when you do your search. You might find something. Good luck to you.
