Hi all! We've lived in Coral Springs for nearly 25 yrs and are tired of the density in S. FL. We're looking for homes with 2 to 5 acres, so Jupiter and Palm City appeal to us. We checked out Wellington, very nice, but the surrounding area is very congested, more so than where we are right now.

We anticipate that finding the right home will be a lengthy process, given the limited inventory. Other than driving around both cities, we really don't know much about them. Schools aren't a concern for us because our children are young adults and only 1 is living with us.

Are there any areas that we should avoid in Jupiter and Palm City? Any concerns about well water? We have city water and sewer in CS, but know that we'll likely have to go with well water and septic tank if we buy in either of the two areas. We looked at a home in Stuart West, nice community, but we could hear the traffic from 95, so that was the end of it. We are not keen on HOA communities, but are willing to keep an open mind if the right home comes along and the HOA isn't overly restrictive.

Any locals that can provide any information, recommendations on preferred areas, etc.? Thanks!

Add Palm Beach Country Estates to your list. The plus there is they have city water if you want it, more of the streets are paved there also vs. Jupiter Farms where just the main roads tend to be paved.

Palm City will offer the best bang for the buck but you will have to travel further to get anywhere (stores/restaurants/airports).

PBCE is the best option for close to town/amenities and it has a few options for in/out as far as traffic (once you get to Donald Ross Rd).

Guy997S, thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to look into that area.
