I have been looking at several developments in Vero Beach and came upon Oak Chase. The homes are about in my price range and seem to be in a good area. The HOA is reasonable and there are not a lot of amenities which is what I am looking for. I am not looking to fund a fancy clubhouse, tennis courts, swimming pools, gyms, etc. Any info on Oak Chase or similar developments in the Vero Beach area would be greatly appreciated.

Oak Chase is very nice. Can't go wrong there. Nice homes on good lots, all cul du sacs, and most have pools. The only thing little nit-picking thing I can say is that the streets are numbers.

I was going to look at a house in Oak Chase, but it sold before I visit it. If I remember correctly, the HOA didn't include landscaping but I could be wrong. Great location and convenient to shopping. The west side of Oak Chase backs up to 66 Avenue so you might be bothered by the truck traffic noise. 66th avenue is a major traffic artery.

Thank you for your input. I am about 2 years away from retirement and have been visiting Vero since the 70's. We had a condo on the barrier island which we have sold. Even though I have been visiting Vero for decades, I am not that familiar with many of the areas outside of the barrier island. I have also been looking into the Sebastian area. I am just looking for a home with a pool in a nice area with a lower HOA and limited amenities. I don't mind taking care of my own landscaping. I want to make sure I'm not in a major flood zone, CBS construction, town water and sewer and a little privacy.
