This summer I knew of a few people with good work records and 5-10 years experience that answered ads for Roofers for a large mid coast Roofing company. They haven't been hired but illegals have. Although they are very cheap labor for this company Maine people are being denied jobs. If anyone sees this they should report it!

A school washing built in Central Maine several years go an all the beet rocking was done by illegals. Complaints ere made. The company that employed the illegals was kicked off the job. All work at the school stopped. The general contractor could not find Americans to sheet rock. The illegals were brought back. School opened late that September. This was about 20 years go. It has gotten worse because we pay more people not to work. .

If a company is hiring illegals is there anything someone can do that will get results. There really should be. The bottom line is a citizen trying to make a living is getting scr-wed,the person or business hiring them are doing the scr-wing. It always the same old bull "we can't find white people to do it" I did it and so did everyone else when I was young because it paid enough. The bad thing too is those that come here are made out the villains.

I find it hard to beleive there are no dry wall hangers in Maine? I think they were looking for an excuse to hire illegals and they are 100 % wrong to do so.

Welcome to reality Maine. I lived there for fourteen years and most of your illegals are Semolina or French. I had friends in Canada and some bashed Americans, until I told them we have the same feeling mostly along the Mexico border.
