Just wondering if anyone had used them. Does it work well, what is it costing you. Have you seen any price increases.
Thanks for any feed back.
Would also be open to suggestions for internet provided. Not Comcast as $75 is too much for the interweb.

It works, but it's subject to all the usual issues that wireless has. It feels quite a bit slower then Cable or FIOS, but for my use is doable. Work pays for it, so I don't know what the actual price is.

Default clear wire

Clear wire has max speed of 7mbps. Which is twice as slow as that of current cable internet. Price is actually pretty good. I have heard that its around $35.
I work for comcast and if you are streaming movies and voip generally 12 mbps is fast enough but not sure if 7 will be. I have had heaps of customers come to me from them. Saying its too slow.

My experience with Clear is that its fine for one person. If you're a heavy bandwidth consumer you may be disappointed.

Can you watch movies on Netflix using Clear? Or is it not fast enough/choppy, etc.?

You won't have any issues streaming whatsoever with a single machine. I stream netflix all of the time. Problem occurs when two machines stream at the same time.

Just to echo everything that's already been said, in my experience Clear is great for someone who only uses one machine at a time and has fairly light needs (web browsing, e-mail, and maybe some Netflix). Beyond that, if you need to use several devices simultaneously, if you play lots of online games, if you need to download huge files (cough cough) of any kind, etc. then it's really not going to be for you. Also, bear in mind that weather can effect performance, though in Portland extreme weather really isn't common.
