Is Portland at 600,000 yet? Estimate on Wikipedia put 2011 year end at 594k, but I also read an article that Portland's growth has slowed up a bit. I'm pretty sure at least 6,000 moved into the city during 2012 so I'd have to guess the pop is unofficially 600k+

We don't know. It is catching pace to Seattle. Vancouver BC is outpacing them both, as well as Surrey BC.

Should be interesting. Still, even if Portland passes Seattle proper in pop, Seattle will still be the center of the PNW for transport and economy. But interesting thought.

With a 10.8% increase in Population in the last 8 years Oregon now has just over 3,900,000 people as of January 1st 2013.

According to PSU and the Census Bureau, Portland should now have 603,325 residents as of January 1st 2013. Expect the number to be 625,000 or more by 2015.
