Hi all,

I just moved here a few weeks ago from NJ and I am itching for my beloved Kraft Polly-O string cheese snacks. So far I can't find it anywhere! *sniff*

Safeway has the jalapeño and tomato basil flavors, but I just want my plain mozz sticks. Any suggestions where to check out? I'm gonna contact Kraft Foods next and see what I can do. Was thinking of asking Safeway to special order my plain flavor since they do carry the other two flavors... Gonna also check special ordering from Fred Meyer and check out Target.

Any other suggestions? Does anyone buy this cheese anywhere around Portland or the outlying areas? (Yes I'm willing to drive! LOL)

That, or take the opportunity to make a more complete break from what you knew, and get to know how a foodie town does snacks. I submit for your rennet ruminations... Trader Joe's string mozzarella cheese. Very likely the same price or cheaper (this is PDX, not NJ!!) as the Kraft variety and, in similar fashion to TJ's many other offerings, their string cheese snack will not have any artificial coloring, flavoring or preservative. Bon appetit.

I know TJ's extremely well TYVM! They are all over the NE as well as PNW. I just miss the taste of home is all. I want the dry comfy childhood taste of my polly-o string cheese as a late night munchie.

As for my local cheese shop, I use City Market FTW.

Just another mystery in life. Why would anyone buy Kraft cheese when Tillamook is available?

The same reason people eat McDonalds when Burgerville is around.

I just had Burgerville two days ago and I am a new woman! I have been trying to avoid the car so I don't find myself at their drive through!
