And you have central air as do all stores, right? Desert heat also has no humidity for the most part.

Ugh! I never got used to this kind of weather living in Chicago for over 30 years. Everyone has a different internal thermostat and mine reaches its discomfort zone when the outside thermometer hits anything above 75 especially if there is some humidity.

My apartment is like an oven and the heat lingers through the night. I swear every summer I will get an air conditioner but never do. Oh well, now that Safeway has that nice new Starbucks with comfortable chairs, I know where I will be spending at least part of my afternoons.

I'm with you Minervah. Where I live now in Orange County we just bake and bake and bake from mid July through late September. I can handle a few days but it get endless and horrible. I get heat headaches (have one today, actually).
