What is the best city, in your opinion, in the pacific northwest for me to move to? The 3 biggest criteria for me:

- music scene
- cost/rent
- employment opportunities

It kind of depends on what you're looking for, specifically, in #1 and #3.

I'm an experimental/electronic/rock musician. Employment-wise I need a day job without a degree requirement. I'm not a skilled worker neither and currently unemployed. So, not in a great situation and my environment is bringing me down as well. Where I currently live the cost of living is outrageous, so I doubt the PNW cost of living would deter me from moving.

Suburbs of Seattle or Portland really. Rent will be cheaper, and you're more likely to find a job for the non-skilled in those areas. Both towns also have a pretty huge music scene, with papers dedicated to such. You could probably hook up with a band pretty easily and likely have a gig that weekend.

Tacoma, WA is cheaper than Seattle but still within reasonable commute distance. Tacoma has a thriving artist community and a university campus. Sometimes a change of pace is needed. Good luck.
