My 4-year-old, 2-year-old and I go outside every day if the temperature is over 40 degrees. 3 layers of clothes (shirt, sweater, jacket), and we all stay quite warm. We also go out in a drizzle, but not in heavy rain (but drizzle is much more common!).

Thanks for the input. It looks like your weather is hovering around that 40 degree threshold right now.

We in Colorado Springs are in the teens right now. But we are having a white Christmas as it is snowing today. So this is really cool for our family.

Weather.com is actually showing the potential for snow in Portland tommorrow. That might me fun for your kids if actually does. Although I hear snow is so rare in Portland that when it does the city sort of comes to a halt.

Actually, it's snowing right now. If it only snows lightly it's fine. If we get 3 inches low enough to hit downtown, that's when people freak out!
