People brag about the beer and food here, every bar is the same tv, people in there cell phones and like 20 guys for each lady. Washington state is worst, it is the state with more men than women. The homeless are are everywhere. And like many large cites in the US if you are new, people just don't want to get to know you.

I agree. Best for you to move elsewhere, OP, or at a minimum, discover that Oregon women have better things to do that to hang out in bars hoping to be picked up for one night.

Try dating the homeless; they're everywhere.

What is it with people coming here on a fairly routine basis to whine about their personal failure to attract members of the opposite sex?

It's easier than honest self-assessment.

This is interesting, because there's a lady in Portland posting on the Relationships forum that they can't find any guys to date. She says all the events the women go to, there's only more women. She says when they go on singles hikes, there's a total of like 2 guys, and those 2 feel like fresh meat for all the women, and they freak out. LMAO. Strange scene.

According to the census Washington has exactly 50.0% females and Oregon 50.5%. So it's not the numbers that are against the OP here.

Generally speaking, when it comes to dating and you want to improve your odds you need to target cities/areas that have "your type" of people. They exist in every state. If you're younger, college towns and bigger cities will have a lot. If you're into horses, more rural places etc...

In my experience, rural areas tend to suck for dating in any state. You need at least 200K people in a metro to create a kind of critical mass of singles turnover. Smaller than that, you tend to see the same single lonely-hearts over and over again while the dateable people get snatched up quick.

Basically, you want to be where colleges are and where jobs are. Those places will have nightlife, they'll have activity clubs, social events, concerts, etc... with the required critical mass of single people. Areas with fewer good jobs, no college, more churches than bars (RURAL) etc... will probably have a lot of families where the men/women got married in their early 20s.

"confused" They are in the big cities: Seattle, Portland, Bay Area. Why? It's normal. All the big hiking organizations have them.
