It doesn't need to be a doctor but it does need to be from a legit health care provider. That is what my building requires.

If the dog owner states that the dog (or miniature horse ) is a service animal, that is it. There is no certification, no documentation required, and the service animal must be accepted.

If the dog owner states that the dog (or any other animal of any kind) is an emotional support animal, the animal owner can be asked to show a letter from their health care professional that the health care professional recomended an emotional support animal. Since those letters are available online for a small fee, it is just about impossible to reject an emotional support animal.

This doesn't sound right. My kids are both disabled by Federal law and both could get service dogs but there are questions that can be asked of them and people with emotional service dogs cannot bring their dogs everywhere.
