For me and I’ve lived in the area all my life, it’s usually mid-April through mid-October. That seems to be the sweet spot for me personally. I work from home so technically I could wear shorts all I wanted but this isn’t Florida or Arizona.

The boys at my daughter’s middle school wear shorts all year long. I find it strange but it’s a generational thing.

My son started wearing shorts in mid Feb. No amount of motherly admoninations changed his attitude. It was Nov before he agreed to wear long pants.

It's not necessarily a generational thing. I'm 64 and I wear 6 pocket shorts all the time. I used to wear blue jeans, but now it's just shorts. More comfortable I suppose.

HA! I have heard that from several “older” Oregonian men.

I like seasonal clothing/ fashion so consider my perspective but I think most years you can wear T-shirt and shorts from June( a few years, May) through mid-October.

OP: A lot of people wear shorts year round, or much of the year. But T-shirts? Not really. Indoors sure, but outdoors you often see people with shorts and fleece coats. It takes a hearty person to wear a T-shirt without a coat or a vest when it's 47 degrees outside.
