My family and I are relocating to Oregon to be by family and to get out of the heat here in Arizona. I was born up there but moved away when i was 12 and have ever since been in arizona. I now am married and have two kids that I do not want growing up in Phoenix. My husband and I have owned a fence company in Phoenix, AZ since 2001 and have done Extremely well until the economy of course toppled all of us! We have money saved up and decided this is the best time to go and change our ways. People in Phoenix mostly live on Credit and do not appreciate the finer things in life. We are ready to scale way down and live as simple as we can! My husband has been talking with getting on with a few fence companies up there who say that they are not slow and are looking to hire in all departments, but then I read your forums and people say its really bad and theres no work!? How can this be that the fence companies are doing ok but the economy around it is not? this makes no sense...can someone help me out and tell me what its like without being to critical? Thank you!

It's probably because fence companies do ok good in the summer but are slow in the fall and winter months.

However if there are job offers being made then secure them in writing and make the move!!
