My husband and I are getting out of the Army in a few weeks. We are looking to rent a house with a fenced yard if possible. It will be myself, my husband, our 2 year old daughter and our doberman. Yes, I know it will be hard finding a place to rent with him but he is family and won't be left behind. I have been looking on craigslist and in the paper for rentals but there is not available. I would prefer going through the owners. We are looking for a 2 or 3 bedroom house. I'd like to stay under $800. We would like to stay in Chino Valley, Prescott, or Prescott Valley.

Anybody know anyone renting or where to look?

Thank you

You can go to the Courier site and click on "View Daily Courier Pages as Printed." Then check the classifieds section:
The Prescott Daily Courier - Prescott, Arizona

I think most of the rentals are listed on Craig's List. Be careful though, sometimes criminals will put up a listing with a too good too be true price, and then ask you to send them a deposit to hold the property for you. Make sure the listing is real, and don't send any money before you view the house in person. You can also do a search on Property Management in Prescott, and take a look at the websites of the major property management companies. You will get a larger, nicer house for $800/mo in Prescott Valley or Chino Valley as opposed to Prescott.

So true.

I would suggest driving around all the towns and getting familiar with the neighborhoods. Some towns have a very wide variety of neighbors and neighborhoods, and only first-hand observation can help you choose well.
