Are you looking for a custom home builder for a unique lot, or a planned-development builder on one of their lots?

My wife and I, both retired, are currently building our 'final home' in the Williamson Valley area of Prescott.
Our builder is John Nanke dba Moms Custom Homes. They were able to design a home specific to the 4+ acre lot to take full advantage of the views. You can check their website. We are very satisfied.

We have always liked the look of the Carrington homes. They are currently building out by CostCo. They will also build on a custom lot. Dorn is the largest subdivision builder in the area. They are building in at least three subdivisions. We have friends who investigated building on a custom lot, and they decided to use Custom Castle Builders before switching to a Universal Homes new build in Granville.

One caveat, we highly recommend working with a reputable real estate agent if you are going to build a new home in a subdivision. The real estate agent in the builder's office represents the builder 100%. Their job is to look after the builder's concerns and not yours. In order to have your own agent represent you, your agent must accompany you to the builder's office and models on your first visit. Otherwise, the builder's agent will make you sign something that says that you are agreeing to no representation (or at least agreeing that the builder will not pay your agent a commission, which then means that you would have to pay your agent or have no representation).

Default Builder

There's also Premier that has recently built a few homes in the Viewpoint. I actually prefer them over Dorn because they give you a lot more as basic instead of charging for every little thing like Dorn. They don't have any more lots in the Viewpoint but will build on your lot.
