Mine are Texas Tech at Iowa State (of course) and Stanford at Oregon. I think that both of the latter two teams have shown that they can compete well with anyone, and so whichever one wins this game is in the driver's seat for the Pac-10 and should be considered a contender for the second of two games to be played in a suburb to the NW of Phoenix in 2011.
Oregon will define their offensive dominance this Saturday. I plan to be one drunk and happy dude in the parking lot at Autzen. Quack Attack Baby!!!!!!
It's payback time and it's time for Urban to show why he's the 3rd highest paid coach in college football. I wouldn't have given the Gators much of a chance to win this one at the beginning of the season, but they found some offense last week and have solid D. If Arky can put Bama on the ropes for 3+ quarters, then so too can the Gators.......... and finish the job.
But of all games actually worth watching: Florida-Alabama and Stanford-Oregon
And in the Stanford-Oregon game will be Chike Amajoyi and Kenjon Barner who in 2006 were the Inland Empire's 2 leading rushers at rivals Aquinas and Notre Dame high schools. And ironically ND is playing AHS this Friday!
These are the two big ones this weekend for me as well. Texas v OU lost its luster after Texas collapsed this past weekend.
I think I'll be glued to the TV for UF/Bama, should be a good one, but I still think Bama pulls it out this year.
Oregon finally had their offense slowed down a little bit last week, curious to see if they keep steam rolling along.
And obviously for myself, looking forward to VT@NC State. NC State is the last undefeated team in the ACC, and VT seems to finally be finding a bit of it's defensive identity again; VT just needs to find a red zone offense now to compete with Russel Wilson and NC State, as I expect them to put up some points. ACC conference play isn't too exciting due to the lackluster start, but gotta root on my own team.
