So here it is... based on current ESPN Coaches Ratings list;

I'd like to put a plug in for Josh McDaniels, but hey, I'm partial.

Now admittedly, the list may not be complet enough. For example, Mike Singletary is not on the list. I also didn't give the option "other". But I think this list is inclusive enough to hit the mark.

So... who gets canned first?

A+ on the public poll, I hate when people make them private. I voted on what I hope, and if the bears miss the playoffs I assume he will be fired immediately after the season. Wow, though this list is pretty bad, McDaniels is obviously a complete tool, Wade Phillips is 100% going to be fired and Chilly is arguably the worst coach in the history of the NFL.

I don't know much about McDaniels, but I agree that Dallas will make a change and Childress should be gone before Moss leaves the team.

How about Shenahan? (Although I love the fact the Redskins have this blowhard and he'll help Danny-boy remain a perennial loser!)

I've nevr thought it a great idea to fire a guy mid season, but being a lame duck would be worse. Players have no respect for that. I'd let Phillips go after the next loss, and I'd pack Chillys desk today.

My brain would say Wade Phillips, McDaniels and Childress. However, ANYBODY that benches a proven starter who's the reason you've won more than one game and is not injured in favor of a proven loser and turnover machine sexy Rexy Freaking Grossman to run the 2 minute drill only down by 5 deserves to be fired!!! I am now convinced that Mike Shanahan is indeed an idiot!

The only reason Phillips isn't gone is the lack of a collective bargaining agreement for next year. Sign a replacement to a long term deal now, and you may not have a team to play for him next summer.

The most obvious is that John Fox won't back in Carolina next year anyway since he's in the last year of his contract. The one who gets fired first; Wade Phillips. The one most deserving is Brad Childress; he went all in by begging Favre back and came up with a 7 high.

I don't think anyone is going to get fired mid-season, but I think the first week of January, you are going to see most of these coaches purged. John Fox, unfortunately, will be the first casuality, in my opinion. He's been coach for 10 seasons now, as unbelievable as that seems. He's had two NFC Championship games, but has backslid since 2008. John Madden said not long ago that 10 yeasrs of being a coach now is like 20 years of being coach when he was in the game. That's how debilitating the profession is.

this speaks volumes about the state of the NFL today that so many coaches stink and need to be replaced. But replaced with what??? All the NFL has done for so long is just recycle these guys to other teams. I hope that practice stops.

Wade Phillips contract runs through 2011, Childress's, I believe, runs to 2012 and while if it were up to me, Childress would be gone in a New York minute, I vote the Phillips will beat him out the door.
