My question is WHY? The Bengals went 4-12 this year but Marvin should have been fired years ago, they almost fired Marvin but they changed their mind and decided to keep Marvin for another year, I feel sorry for the Bengal fans....
The Bengals may have had a disappointing season, but there is no doubting that Marvin Lewis has made an imprint on that organization. He brought them to their first playoff appearance in 2005 & another playoff appearance in the 2009 season. Firing isn't a good idea, because he brings an identity to that team. I think you need to give Lewis one more seasons to prove himself. If he can't then it should be over. But there is no doubt he made that team better when he came.
Because the CBA expires in March and he will likely coach for the year after the labor stoppage, then get canned. You bring in the new boss after the strike.
