Hype and Aaron Rodgers should not be in the same sentence. He is in the beginning stage of an elite career that will take him to Canton, OH.

I'm confused as to why this thread even exists. Is there some noise out there somewhere about him being all hype?

Brett Favre I know made comments about it some weeks ago that caused a stir but Rodgers being the classy guy he is just sidestepped the question.

Rogers is the real deal...I am not saying I had him penciled for greatness from the beginning, but I knew if I was the 49ers I would have definitely picked him over Alex Smith in that draft.

And I guess Brett Favre didnt benefit at all from playing with Antonio Freeman, Robert Brooks, or Ahmad Green.

All QBs benefit from having great talent around them.

Barring injury, HOF for sure. He could go down as the best ever. He doesn't have a single area where he's below average or even just average.

More because of comments Favre has been making. I used to be a huge Favre fan, but he keeps putting his foot in his mouth over and over. And mainly started this thread because I haven't seen a whole lot of Rodgers discussion going on.

Rodgers is the real deal, but I will take Favre over him any day.

I believe if Farve have had few good receivers in his prime he could have had three superbowls under his belt. He had more arm strenght, more stamina, and gutsy. In the end both of them will only have one superbowl.

Hmm, I'm interested in how you can be so sure that Rodgers won't have more than one, especially with his team looking so good right now. I'm not sure how you measure stamina, I don't recall Rodgers breaking down later in seasons (though I haven't cruched the numbers) and gutsy is just a glorified word for stupid when it came to Favre's decision making imo
